Dedicated Server Hosting Benefits

There are different kinds of web hosting services such as shared, cloud, dedicated and shared. The most practical and the cheapest is to go with shared hosting. This service fits the needs of most websites.

Below are the few important points that you must consider when you choose a web host for your website/blog,

  • Bandwidth Allowance – If you are you expecting a good number of visitors or will you want to host large files for download. Beware of hosts offering unlimited bandwidth.

Sitebuilder comes with a drag-and-drop editor feature that allows users to create a website by simply dragging and dropping elements to the desired location. You don’t need to have any coding knowledge or experience.

Online website builders come with a pack of web design templates. You can start by choosing a template that suits your needs.

All templates come with built-in elements and content. You can add, edit, or remove any element and replace with your own content (like text, videos, images, etc.) with just few clicks.

All Page elements can be re-arranged by just dragging and dropping. Add or edit elements and widgets to make your website more dynamic. You can include photo galleries, contact forms, social sharing buttons, and a PayPal Buy Now button, etc.

Once designing part is done, and you are happy with its look and functionality then you can publish it. Just click on the Publish button and your website will be available online!

Method-B: Create a website using WordPress (Intermediate Users)

Once you buy web hosting service, just logon to your account. Nowadays, almost all hosting companies provide a WordPress quick install option in their script library. So, just go to your cPanel dashboard and find the WordPress script and click on it to “Install”.

Once the installation part is done, logon to your WordPress backend dashboard. On the left side of a dashboard, you can see the standard options menu. Just go through one by one, because using these options you can create a beautiful dynamic website.

Most Important WordPress Options:

  • Pages: This section will help you to create pages for your site such as about us, contact us, and some other static pages your site requires.
  • Posts: You can create and publish articles on your website using this section.
  • Media: All your site media files will be stored in this part. Here you can add/delete images, videos, and other media files. You can add these from the post section also while you are writing an article.
  • Appearance: Helps you to customize your website theme, organize widgets, create/edit menus, and has access to the theme’s editor.
  • Plugins: Through this section, you can Add, delete, and update WordPress plugins. Plugins will help you to add the feature you require for your site like contact forms, popups, improve SEO, to create XML sitemaps, etc.
  • Settings: This is the most important section that allows you to customize permalinks, writing, Reading, some plugins settings, etc.
  • Tools: Helps you to Import and export the data.
  • Users: Here you can add/remove people who work for your website as an author, administrator, or just a guest. You can also grant/change/revoke their access whenever you want.
  • Comments: This is where you handle all comments left on your site.

Method-C: Make a Website Using HTML & CSS (Advanced Users)

What is HTML anyway? The HTML language is a language that is used to describe web pages. H-T-M-L stands for HyperText Markup Language.

A markup language uses a set of defined keywords called tags which are surrounded by angle brackets like < and > to make web pages more robust and exciting.

For example, html tags can make text appear bold or use it to add an image or a paragraph to your web page. This is the marked-up part of the HTML world.

3 Things to Know About HTML Tags
  • Angle Brackets (< >) Tags are simply created with the greater than sign and the less than sign on a keyboard also known as angle brackets. The backslash symbol (/) is used in the second bracket tag to signify the end of a tag.
  • Tag Pairs Typically tags come in pairs (<body> </body>). The 1st tag in a pair is the start tag, and the 2nd tag is the end tag. Start and end tags are also called opening tags and closing tags.
  • HTML Documents describe a web page. HTML documents contain HTML tags and plain text. They are also known as web pages.
Understanding the Basic HTML Tags

HTML tags are interpreted by the browser, so the webpage generates. HTML tags can affect the format of the text and the positioning of the content. Most of the tags require you to begin and end at a certain point.

Every webpage tag is identified by the brackets that surround them.

< . . . and

> . . . are the basic examples on what they look like.

The tag is the first tag that you should put in your blank Notepad as it indicates that the file is a webpage. As mentioned earlier, the tag needs to be closed so you must have a signifying its end. Many other tags have a closing tag as well.

Following the tag should be the tag which identifies the header. You can optionally put text there or set the title of the page by using the tag as well as nothing else is put on the basic pages.

Right after the tag should be the tag which is where the bulk of the content will be placed. Any text, images, tables, links, and other elements will be placed there. Understanding the different formatting tags will help you make a more detailed page.

Understanding the Formatting Tags

Adding plain text without tags is not a very good idea as it would make your page extremely boring. You can use the basic tags including the and tags which will bold and italicize text, respectively.

Don’t forget to close these tags to make any following text normal again. Some tags have more customization options like the tag where you can set the size, color, and type of the font.

A hex color table for references or use a webpage editor for easier color setting.

If you want to make paragraphs, simply surround all the text involved with <p> and </p> tags.

Try practicing these tags and observe proper formatting as shown in the example and see what comes out.

Saving the File as a Webpage

If you are using Notepad or another text editor to make your webpage, you won’t be able to see a preview after you design a web page until after you saved it and viewed in a browser.

After you are satisfied with the work that you did and checked that the HTML is correctly structured, save the file and make sure the filename ends with an .html extension instead of a .txt or .doc. This allows you to view the webpage by double clicking the icon.

Viewing the Webpage

Now that your new webpage is saved, try double clicking the file and you should see your work on your favorite web browser. If you see some HTML tags, you most likely made a mistake or forgot to close a tag. Otherwise, congratulations! You have made your first web page.

You can always edit your design by loading up Notepad or your favorite website editor and make any changes. It takes some practice to design a web page and there are plenty of other tags to learn to make your website even better and more interactive.

It always helps to get templates or a web page editor if you don’t wish to learn the HTML tags. Knowing the HTML tags still helps a lot though.

In order to be a designer in general, you need to possess a fair set of skills to be successful. This does not apply though if you want to design a web page.

Make Your Website Efficient with CSS Code

It may take you a minute to learn how to use CSS code, but it is worth it. CSS (cascading style sheets) is efficient and it saves time when modifying your site. It may seem complicated but it’s not — learn the basics and before you know it building your website will be a snap!
